Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Today, we celebrated!

Our librarian arranged for a local officer to read to us!

Dr. Seuss (First Biographies)
We read this simple biography about Dr. Seuss which included a timeline.

The kids used the information from the book for their Dr. Seuss Bubble Map.

Here is a sample of the writing.

And the completed bulletin board display.

We spent the remainder of the day enjoying our Green Eggs and Ham activities
Our "green eggs and ham" inspired snack was two pretzels, M&Ms, and sugar free bubble gum.

We also managed to squeeze in lots of reading!  Whew, what a day!  How did you celebrate?

Happy Learning and Teaching!

  1. Our librarian arranged for a local police man to read to us too! We also drew pictures of the cat and the hat and read stories with our 2nd grade buddies. It was so fun :)
