Classroom Decor

I am officially on summer vacation! :)

I packed up the last of my classroom yesterday in preparation for moving to a smaller classroom.  I have not moved rooms in six years! I'm sure you can imagine how much stuff I've accumulated especially since I have looped between kinder and first.  Towards the end of it all, I tossed lots of stuff!

As a result, I am really looking forward to shopping for classroom decor!

Pinspirations.....

I love the layered borders and that POP of blue!

Lime green is one of my favorite colors and this scrunched border is adorable.

As I was packing I found lots of book jackets.  Wouldn't this look great?  It also has polka dots which I love.

Virtual Shopping Spree
I liked these borders.

I'm thinking of using craft paper like this or burlap.  Where do you buy burlap?

Why?  Because I was inspired by this....

I love the texture of the fabric!

Here's what I have to work with...
        white shelves and book boxes
light blue and lime green baskets
white curtains with lime green and black accents

Any suggestions? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Here's to classroom decorating!

  2. I love using book covers at wall art. I have some up in my classroom. They are mostly older stories. I'd love to have Skippito, too.
I like the burlap fabric idea, too. It would make the room look homey.
    Good Luck!

  14. I buy burlap at HObby Lobby... I have a slight addiction. They even sometimes carry it in different colors.

I also found some at Walmart back around Christmas time.
