My students have had a blast learning from this interactive tool. Thank you, Fran!
Take a look at some of the games we've played.
For this game, students practice blending CVC words. I selected a consonant. Students, then, blended the word. As we played, we decided if the word was real or nonsense.
We practiced making rhymes. This seemed so much more engaging to my students. It also was a great way to see which students needed more help. Next time, I would partner students.

ReplyDeleteSorry for the above deleted comment! I had an error after I posted. Anywhoo, I love the spinner ideas and freebie! I happened to be in my local teacher's store and found them. 1 last box just waiting for me! Now I have some ideas of what to do with them. I hope other people are able to get them and share what they do with them as well.
ReplyDeleteGlad my whiteboards are magnetic! No Smartboard or doc camera, but I have magnetic whiteboards!
You know I am your biggest fan, right?
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I love sight word practice games like this. The more exposure and practice, the better. I will have to be on a look-out for those big spinners. In the meantime, I'm thinking the little spinners I have in my classroom will work just as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this. I can't wait to do spin a sight word with my kids. I know they will love it!
