My Hopes and Dreams

I've never made resolutions.   But I do believe in this.

As I return to the classroom, I want to remind myself why I teach.  I teach to touch the hearts', minds' and souls' of children.  I can make a lasting impact in their lives. I know because teachers made a lasting impact in my life.

Cheers to the new year!

  2. Awesome hopes & dreams! I would love to use more songs in my room also. Would you be willing to share ideas that you use? I also need to do more technology & take risks with it. Thanks for your inspiration! Jackie

    1. Jackie,
Some of my favorite songs are: You are My Sunshine by Greg and Steve, Four Hugs a Day by Charlotte Diamond. What I have discovered over the years is that some songs lend themselves more to one class over the others. Last year, my students loved the book Dinosaur Pet by Marc Sedaka and music by Neil Sedaka.

You are my sunshine is one of my faves, too!

  4. I just adore this.....
Especially the part about the music. Everyday after flag salute and Patriotic song we sing Zippedty Doo Dah! Try having a bad morning after that!
