Sprucing Up Your Photos

Here's a quick Blogger Tech Tip.
Is it just me or have I missed an easier way through Blogger to spruce up photos. Take this picture for example.  If you click on the image, you will get an option that says Edit Image.

Click there.  Then, it will take you to a  screen like this.
Click on the Create tab.  Then, your options become endless.
You can add text, borders, speech bubbles, etc to your photos.
Like my postage stamp?
Or how about the polaroid?  Love it!

Many of these features are free although there are some premium features.  Does anyone use this on a regular basis?  If so, share if you like it.  It looks pretty easy and fun.

UPDATE: Picnik is no longer in service.  Many of these features can now be found on PicMonkey.

Happy Blogging!

  5. I think because Blogger,Google, and Picasa are all integrated, you are actually using Picnik ( from what I see at the top). Everything in my Picasa files at some point recently added a button that says Picnik. There are lots of freebies, but if you take and use a lot of pictures, the premium price is about $24 a year, and there are tons more especially seasonal designs.I use it a lot for home and school. If you look at my blog,
nearly every picture included has been "picniked"!

  10. I think someone mentioned it above, but yes it's Picnik. I'm not sure if you have to have Firefox, because I don't think it shows up on IE. I have a premium account, have for a few years. I'm obsessed :) Some pictures just need a little cleaning up once in a while. It's like photoshop but not as expensive!! :)

  20. Do you have a new version of Blogger? My only options are: small, medium, large, extra large, original size, left, center, right, add caption, remove.
    Any ideas?

  21. I use blogger draft and noticed I have those options as well. It's still blogger but you're trying out all their "newest" options that they haven't made live yet. It's almost like a beta version. If you google "blogger draft" it should show up. I have been using the photo editing in picnik for years now. Love them! Vibrance is my favorite option, though it's a premium one. I have also been using it to make my own buttons and links.

  23. I am using blogger in draft. But you can do the same thing. Go to www.picnik.com. It will save onto your computer. :)

  24. YEAH! Thanks--it was because I didn't use blogger draft. SO COOL!! Only "problem" is I have to upgrade to get the stamp one.
    SO FUN!!

  25. Another gem that I would suggest is befunky.com. Same idea ( although not part of Blogger, but that's no problem) and same price per year. There are freebies, too, but what I LOVE there are the cartoonizer, the watercolor, and the option to "underpaint." I have an example on my Facebook page in my photos at the top at the Welcome collage:
    http://www.facebook.com/sophieandsadiesscholarlysite

The watercolor and underpaint make my photos look like images from a children's book! I think you can see the possibilities for this in a classroom if you have a digital camera.:) I am a photo junkie!:)
