Here's where I need your help. I'd like these days to focus on literature, math, art, and other "fun" stuff. For example, letter D may be reading No, David! and creating a directed draw of David like this one here. The letter P could be reading all the Pigeon books and using shapes to cut and make a Pigeon of our own.

Oh the Places We’ll Go
I teach first grade so most of my kiddos know all their letters and sounds. The ones that don't need intervention and get that from my teammates and I during group calendar time. I always use a kinesthetic alphabet and use mirrors and my Lindamood training to teach letters and sounds. Our whole school uses Fundations so we use common wording but I liked what I created better b/c it is phonics and phonemic awareness combined with music. I am posting it soon to TPT and my blog.
ReplyDeleteStill, I am excited to see everyone's ideas. I love blogging and learning from all of you smart ladies!!

I just found your blog, and I would love to help out! I am returning to Kindergarten this year, and would love the ideas to help teach letters!!! If "K" or "D" are open, I would be happy to help!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm game if you don't mind a homeschool teacher joining in. I have already done letters A-P with freebies, so if you need one of those, I can expand on it. You can see examples listed here: http://www.hsprintables.com/ABC.html
ReplyDeleteAlright, I wanted Mm, Ss, Cc, or Ff but I think all those are taken. Just tell me a letter and I will get to work on it.
